Our Pearl:

Irene Marie Sells, born July 12th, 1943, was treated like the royalty she was from the day she first opened her eyes until her very last breath. She accepted Christ at a young age and made sure she was involved in as many ministries as possible.

In 1962 she graduated from the Manual Training High School in Muscogee, Oklahoma. She was a proud member of their marching band and cheer squad so that she could have a front row seat for all of the sports games.

While cheering for the MTHS Bulldogs basketball team, Irene caught the eye of Willie R. Sells, Sr. from the opposing team. The two went on to get married in the November of 1963 and raised 4 children together as time progressed.

Irene was employed by McDonnell Douglas as a Labor Accountant for eighteen years prior to its closing in 1994. She was a portrait of fashion, an expert shopper, and a lady at all times. Additionally, she was an avid reader, taught speed reading, and coached cheerleading. Irene later returned to her love of teaching, substituting for Tulsa Public Schools until her health began to fail. Through it all, Irene followed her kids and grandkids to all of their sporting events and was their biggest fan.

Our Mission:

Our goal is to improve academic achievement, self-esteem and social competence by challenging our young men and young ladies to aim for academic excellence. We hope to build active and creative minds by equipping them with the necessary tools to be successful.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
